Forest Schools

Cumming Nature Center recognizes the intrinsic relationship between children and nature. We offer three forest school programs that nurture this relationship.

Through unstructured play, curiosity-driven exploratory learning, hands-on science projects, and outdoor skills development, all within a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment.

Field Studies (ages 13-15)

Nurture you and your child’s relationship with nature through unstructured play and curiosity-driven learning. Parent or guardian must attend with child.

Forest School provides children with the space to nurture their relationship with nature through unstructured play, curiosity-driven learning, hands-on projects and basic outdoor skills development.

From soil science to wildlife management, Field Studies will prepare students to engage thoughtfully with the natural world using scientific methods and their own curiosity to analyze and address real-world problems.
