What to Expect When You are Expecting a Total Solar Eclipse

 

WHEN: 

This presentation will take place at the RMSC Museum & Science Center Riedman Gallery on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 7–8 pm. 

WHAT: 

This talk by eclipse chaser  Dr. Kate Russo will provide a detailed understanding of what it is like to experience a total solar eclipse, and why it is of interest to YOU. This event will help you to start making plans to be in the path of totality for the April 8, 2024 total solar eclipse– T-minus 18 months away! 

You will understand that the total eclipse is not just an astronomical event, but also a spectacular nature event that will leave you in awe and wonder. 

 

WHY: 

This event is presented as part of the AAS Solar Eclipse Planning Workshop in preparation for the 2024 total solar eclipse and is the only part of the workshop that will be free & open to the public. Rochester will be in the path of totality in 2024. Dr. Kate Russo is an international speaker, eclipse chaser, and author who has flown in from Australia to partake in the AAS eclipse planning workshop.
