  • Providing substantial access to hand sanitizer and encouraging hand washing often.
  • Increasing cleaning and disinfecting throughout our facility.

What we’re asking our visitors to do

  • Stay home if you are not feeling well.

  • Please be patient – don’t crowd around exhibits. Practice social distancing and remain 6 feet away from others not in your party.

RMSC Cleaning and Sanitation Standards

We have worked diligently to ensure a safe environment for all who come through our doors. We will continue to rely on guidance from the CDC, New York State Department of Health, and Monroe County Health Department to make operational decisions and adjustments as necessary.

Cleaning & Sanitation Standards

  • Staff are frequently cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces and highly interactive and hands-on surfaces.
  • The Star Theater chairs, railings and other high touch areas will be disinfected after every show.
  • Multiple hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the Museum, Planetarium, and Nature Center.
  • Staff and volunteers are required to frequently wash their hands and to not come to work if they are sick or have a fever.
